beartrap, it was a good interview, Dr.Liau was very measured in her talk about DC-Vax L as she should be and stressed that the trial is still blinded but obviously she has very long lived patients that if not on the treatment arm would most likely have passed by now given historical data and common sense. She was consistent in her evaluation that DC-VAX will provide 25-30% of patients with long term survival of greater than 3-5 years and that I/O trials have to account for the long tail of survival instead of median survival data, just as Dr.Hoos had stated in his video of "YOU MUST WAIT" This is nothing new and she was just confirming what she has always said without any hype just the pure honest modest decent person that she is. Thanks for all your consistent support and DD.

Perspective is everything and as Dr.Liau says the positive attitude of her patients really count towards quality of life and recovery. Always have hope that was the one thing the oncologist took away from Dr.Liau's mom when she told her she only had 3 months to live when in fact she lived another year that could of been fill with joy instead of preparing for her death. She really wished the oncologist would not have said that to her mom and taken her hope away. Too bad they don't train doctors on the right thing to say to a patients that are terminally ill or at least consult with their family or a therapist before they issue death warrants. Like you could have anywhere from 3 months to years depending on how aggressive your cancer is. Give them at least a range of survival. I mean we have possibly 80 GBM patients that are alive over 3 years in our little trial where median survival should be 12-15 months. We should all be dancing and singing, instead of complaining about the ridiculous SP.
